Savannah Rose Crespo
The seed for Savannah Rose Crespo’s first aspirations to be a DJ was planted two summers ago while dancing beneath the moonlit boughs of the Old World Recess deep in the French Alps. It was here she was first captivated by the unique and layered beats and bass that set so much of her dancing soul free. Since then, her journey to discover her personal sound to share with the world has mirrored her nomadic DJ debuts both in most of the major cities and fusion scenes up and down the west coast as well as Recess events. Along the way she has cultivated a keen ear, eye, and heart to read a room as well as the belief that her music is not just the backdrop to but a key component of the conversations that take place between dancers on the dance floor. She delights in creating soundscapes where dancers feel inspired to both meet each other and themselves in new ways—particularly between the hours of midnight and dawn, where she weaves the magic of melty late night grooves to keep folks dancing until its time to greet the morning sun.

Emily Smith
Emily started out as a blues DJ in Seattle’s epic house-party scene in 2005. She was one of Burn Blue’s original DJs when the venue started and volunteered as a DJ coach for new aspiring DJs. She has continued to DJ regularly at many of the blues and fusion dance venues in Seattle. She loves the challenge of traveling to DJ for major events, including BlueShout, Fusion exchanges, and various other blues festivals and lindy exchanges, and has had the pleasure of being on staff for multiple events either as DJ coordinator. Emily mothers 2 little princesses and works as an urgent care nurse and nursing student.
Kai Hayashi
Since 2009, Kai has been DJing for fusion events around the world. While his DJ style and sound have evolved over the years, he has always been inspired by funky rhythms, the occasional wub, and horns... Plenty, of horns. Kai is stoked to bring his music and signature "stank face" from Portland to Seattle for Champagne and Emeralds 2016.
Rebecca Ortega
Becca (AKA: DJ ‘Tega) is a biological anthropologist who stumbled across dancing during her undergrad in 2012. Four years later, she is now equal parts scientist, dancer, event organizer, and DJ in Seattle…all while pursuing a PhD! Becca identifies as a fusion, ballroom, Latin, glitch, and liquid dancer. The challenge and immense creativity required to blend dance styles is what has made fusion her favorite. Her DJ style is dynamic and prioritizes fostering deep connection for those dancing to her sets. Her sets travel through multiple dance styles and genres, all focused on facilitating deep connection between dance partners. Her goal is to give everyone at least one “magic dance”, so be ready for some intense connection!
